CALIFORNIA CITY – The California City Whiptails emerged victorious in the first regular season home game on June 4 at Balsitis Park. The hometown team defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers by a score of 13 to 8.

Hitting the road, the Whiptails played four games in Tucson, Arizona. Whiptails fell 7 to 5 against the Tucson Saguaros on June 6 and 7 to 10 on June 7. They were shutout 18 to 0 by the Saguaros on June 8 and lost 9 to 3 on June 9.

They were scheduled for four games in Alpine, Texas against the Alpine Cowboys on Monday, a double header on Tuesday and single games on Wednesday and Thursday.

Whiptails will be home on Friday with a game at 7 p.m. against the Wasco Reserves before going down the road to Adelento for two games against the High Desert Yardbirds on Saturday and Sunday. They will be home on Monday with another game against the Saguaros and Tuesday hosting the Yardbirds. Back to Adelanto on June 19, then home again against the Yardbirds on June 20.

June 21 through 23 will see the Whiptails facing off against the Monterey Amberjacks in Monterey, before hosting the Amberjacks at Balsitis Park in a double-header on June 24 and single games on June 25 and 27.

Whiptails will finish out the month with travel to Wasco on June 28 and then hosting the Wasco Reserves on June 29 and June 30.
