The Boron Wildcats Youth Football teams had a bye week in week five of the season and hosted IWV on Oct. 5 for week 6. The game took place during Boron’s annual 20 Mule Team Days celebration and began at approximately 9 a.m.

Scores and Stats for the Wildcats in week six are: freshman – lost to IWV by a score of 26-0, sophomores – Boron won by a score of 6-0, junior varsity – lost to IWV by a score of 28-6, and varsity – lost to IWV by a score of 38-6.

The stats for the Wildcats in week six are as follows: freshman – second place with two wins and three losses, sophomores – first place with five wins and no losses, junior varsity – sixth place with one win and four losses, and varsity – sixth place with no wins and five losses. The Wildcat freshman and sophomores look as if they may be heading to the playoffs at the end of the regular season is they keep up their winning streaks.

The Wildcats travel to play the Braves in week seven on Oct. 12 then travel to play IWV again on Oct. 19 in week eight; they have another bye week on Oct. 26 in week nine and their final home game against Bishop in week 10 is scheduled to be played on Nov. 2.
