To Mr. Henry Gause

CoCo Beach Fl.

We sit in awe that a person who lives in St. Augustine, FL over 3000 miles away surmises of what goes on in California City and what we as a community need. Obviously you have been given bogus information about Measure A.

To enlighten Sir, our current special tax which helps pay for our Police and Fire personnel expires on June 30, 2012. Without additional funding Public Safety will be placed in jeopardy, to the point that the County of Kern would be forced to step in. Thus our property taxes would increase a lot more than the proposed new tax. By doing a $150.00 per parcel per year tax, which comes out to $12.50 a month we avoid the increase in property taxes.

No statement was ever made that this city would die and blow away, so who ever told you that lied to you. But if that were a true statement, we find it hard to believe that the President of the California City Landowners Association would sit back and do nothing but complain, instead should be helping to pass this Measure to protect every body's investments.

Instead of complaining and talking of gloom and doom, why don't you move from CoCo Beach Fl to California City and help solve our community's problems since you are so interested in our community.

Respectfully

The Volunteers to pass Measure A
