Council round up-California City Animal Shelter volunteers

California City Animal Shelter volunteers Jim Creighton and Diane Perry were recognized for their service at the May 28 City Council meeting. Police Chief Eric Hurtado said the pair have been volunteers for more than four years and in that time have saved the city thousands of dollars. Their efforts included doing repairs, maintenance, cleaning and organizing supplies and donations.
