BORON – Parents, teachers, students and faculty gathered together inside the West Boron Elementary School multipurpose room on the morning of June 5 for the annual sixth-grade Promotion and Honor Roll Assembly. The event started just after 9:30 a.m.

Principal Robert Kostopoulos opened the festivities by welcoming everyone then led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

After the Pledge,  Kostopoulos then called  for roll call of Honor Roll students from grades fourth through sixth to come up and receive their award which was presented by Kostopoulos. The sixth-graders were then led to the stage to await their reward for their elementary school hard work.

After all the Honor Roll students were recognized,  Kostopoulos did roll call for sixth-grade classes to come forward and receive their Promotion Certificates. One by one, each student came to the front of the stage and got big congratulations from their teacher and  Kostopoulos. A total of 43sixth graders were promoted to junior high school. After everything was over, all students were returned to their classes to finish out the day and school year.
