LANCASTER, CA – The Antelope Valley Fair’s Livestock Council will host its 10th annual Barn Bash Barbeque and Auction on Saturday, June 8, 2019. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for improvements to the AV Fair livestock barns as well as to fund scholarships for Antelope Valley Fair junior livestock exhibitors who are graduating in 2019 and are seeking financial aid for college. Over the years, the money raised from the Barn Bash has contributed to numerous improvements that include new poultry cages, repair and powder coat swine pens, storage bins, evaporative coolers in the swine barn, auction stand and arena, a more secure area to house the beef, and new fans in the beef/sheep/goat/swine barn and new wash racks in the pig barn. This year the goal is to raise enough funds to put a sound system and cameras for the barns, screen for the auction, small animal/rabbit feeders, and fund scholarships.

The Barn Bash is a fun, social gathering/fundraising event that includes dinner. This year’s event takes place in the H.W. Hunter Pavilion at the Antelope Valley Fair & Event Center. Games and music begin at 5pm, the BBQ Dinner will begin at 6p.m., followed by a Silent and Live Auction that will be held at 7pm.

The BBQ Dinner/Auction tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased at the A.V. Fair & Event Center Exhibit Entry office 9am-4pm or Admin Office M-F 8am to 5pm. Entry office ph. (661) 948-6060, ext. 123. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the night of the event for $12.

The community is invited to participate and is encouraged to become a sponsor. Three levels of Sponsorship packages are available: $1,000+ Prime, $700 Choice, and $500 Select. In addition to being listed on a large, Barn Bash-created, canvas banner that will be displayed at the Barn Bash and in the R. Rex Parris Show Arena during the Fair (8/16 to 8/25/2019), Sponsors will receive various denominations of Barn Bash BBQ & Auction tickets, Fair 2019 admission, and tickets for the Demo Derby event on Sun., August 25th at the Fair. Other sponsorship opportunities include the donation of items for the Live Auction (valued at $75 or more) and Silent Auction (valued at less than $75). The deadline to drop off donated Auction items to the A.V. Fair Entry office is May 31st, 2019.

Table sponsorships (10 seats, plus business card in auction catalog and as part of table centerpiece), are available for $200 each table, as are Table Centerpiece Sponsorships (business card featured as part of a table centerpiece) for $25, and Auction Catalogue Sponsorships for $25 where the sponsor’s business card will be included in the Auction Items Catalogue. The deadline to be included in Barn Bash Auction Catalogue is May 31st. To date, Barn Bash sponsors

include: Antelope Valley Animal Hospital, A.V. Fair & Event Center, Lamar Advertising, Porter Construction, and Kyle and Kyle Ranches.
