The following is the arrest and court appearance report in the Boron area for the month of May; all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

According to court records, 24-year old Brandon Gale appeared on May 1 for a pre-preliminary hearing and on May 3 for a preliminary hearing in the charges of two counts of Obstruct/Resist Executive Officer, Threaten with Intent to Terrorize, DUI: Alcohol, DUI: Alcohol with B.A.C. .08%, and Drive While License Suspended/Revoked for DUI: Specific VI; he also appeared for a Pre-Trial conference on the charges of Drive Under Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Drive without a License, Use/Under the Influence of Controlled Substance and Possess Narcotic Controlled Substance. Gale is scheduled for a jury trial on May 21 on the above charges.

According to court records, 30-year old Leanna Rodden appeared on May 1 for a pre-preliminary hearing and May 3 for a preliminary hearing on the charges of two counts of Conspire to Commit a Crime, Possess of Tear Gas Weapon by Person with Prior Conviction, Possess Controlled Substance Paraphernalia and Possess/Etc Burglary Tools. Rodden appeared for an arraignment in Superior Court on May 14 on the above charges and will appear again on July 11 for a readiness hearing and on July 16 for a jury trial. Rodden remains free on $50,135 bail.

According to court records, 40-year old Tawny Rodden appeared on May 1 for a Pre-Preliminary Hearing and Bail Review and on May 3 for a Preliminary Hearing on the charges of two counts of Conspire to Commit a Crime; she pled No Contest to one charge and the other was dismissed. Rodden was sentenced on May 31.

According to court records, 27-year old Dean Cleare appeared on May 2 for a Return – Proof of Compliance/Enrollment in Community Service, which was continued until August 2.

According to court records, 24-year old Hiroo Rodriguez appeared on May 2 for a pre-revocation hearing on the charge of Petty Theft; Rodriguez pled No Contest to the charge on Feb. 18, 2015. Rodriguez also pled No Contest to the charge of Conspire to Commit a Crime and is set for Sentencing and a Hearing on Supplemental Probation Report on May 31.

According to court records, 59-year old Harold White appeared on May 2 for a pre-trial conference on the charges of Inflict Corporal Injury on Spouse/Cohabitant and Exhibit Firearm. Both charges against White were dismissed.

According to court records, 54-year old Dana Maclean appeared in a Bakersfield court room on May 3 for a readiness hearing on the charges of Willful Cruelty to Child (New Eff. 4/12), Keep Place to Sell/Etc Controlled Substance and Possess Controlled Substance Paraphernalia which was continued until July 5. Maclean is scheduled for a Jury Trial on July 15 and remains free on $35,000 bail.

According to court records, 43-year old Eric Rose appeared on May 7 for a readiness hearing and jury trial on the charges of Assault on Person with Force – Great Bodily Injury and False Imprisonment with Violence/Etc where both charges were dismissed.

According to court records, 46-year old Kuldeep Singh appeared on May 7 for a pre-preliminary hearing on the charges of Hit and Run Resulting in Injury, Vehicle Manslaughter-Non Alcohol, Non Gross Neg.-Unlawful Act and Stop Sign, Failure to Stop at Limit Line, Crosswalk or Entrance which was continued until July 9. Singh is also scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 16 on the above charges and remains free on $25,000 bail.

According to court records, 52-year old Kimberly Youngblood appeared on May 8 for a pre-preliminary hearing on the charges of Failure to Appear on Felony Charge and Sentencing on the charges of Bring Controlled Substance/Etc into Prison/Jail and Possess Controlled Substance for Sale which both were continued until June 11. Youngblood was remanded into custody and her bail exonerated.

  According to court records, 55-year old Brigette BuBois appeared on May 9 for a pre-trial conference on the charges of two counts of Drive Under the Influence of Alcohol, Drive While License Suspended/Revoked and two counts of DUI Alcohol/0.08%. DuBois pled No Contest to two counts of DUI Alcohol 0.08% and the other charges were dismissed. She received a sentence of 21 days in jail with time served, fined $2,068 and place on summary probation for five years.

29-year old Alan Vieyra was arrested on May 10 in Los Angeles County on Suspicion of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

According to court records, 38-year old Jennifer Arrieta appeared on May 13 for a pre-trial conference on the charges of four counts of Willful Cruelty to Child and Possess Controlled Substance Paraphernalia which was continued until June 21.

According to court records, 34-year old Matthew Pilcher appeared on May 13 for a Failure to Appear arraignment on the charges of two counts of No Insurance, Drive Without License, Failure to Register a Vehicle, Drive While License Suspended/Revoked, Maximum Speed Limit, 55 Miles Per Hour, Drive While License Suspended/Revoked for DUI: Specific VI, Unregistered Vehicle and Possess Controlled Substance Paraphernalia. Pilcher pled Guilty to all charges and received a total sentence of 12 days in jail with one day Credit, fined $4,410 and place on Summary Probation for three years.

According to court records, 43-year old Brandy Espinosa appeared on May 15 for a Pre-Trial Conference on the charge of Willful Cruelty to Child, which was continued until July 15 and remains free on $25,000 bail.

According to court records, 43-year old Jose Ibarra appeared on May 15 for a pre-trial conference on the charges of Willful Cruelty to Child, which was continued until July 15  and remains free on $10,000 bail.

According to court records, 31-year old Donald Breach appeared on May 16 for a continued pre-trial Conference on the charges of two counts of Possess Controlled Substance Paraphernalia and Unregistered Vehicle. Breach also appeared for a continued Pre-Preliminary Hearing on the charges of Conspire to Commit a Crime, Possess/Manufacture/Sell Billy, Blackjack, Sandbag, Sap or Slug, Possess Controlled Substance, License Plates Location and Number and Unregistered Vehicle; both hearing were continued until June 12. Breach is also scheduled to appear on June 20 for a Misdemeanor Arraignment on charges of Drive While License Suspended/Revoked and Unregistered Vehicle and remains free on $55,000 bail.

According to court records, 31-year old Laura Hale appeared on May 16 for continued pre-trial conference on the charge of False Report of Crime to Specific Peace Officers which was continued until June 19; she also appeared for a bail review and pre-preliminary hearing on the charges of Burglary First Degree, Grand Theft: Property, Possess/Etc Burglary Tools and three counts of Receive/Etc Known Stolen Property which was continued until June 21 and a Status – Violation of Mandatory Supervision and Hearing on Supplemental Probation Report which was continued until June 19 and remains in custody in lieu of $71,500 bail.

32-year old Trent VanGelder was arrested on May 19 on suspicion of five warrants; two for Possess Narcotic Controlled Substance, one for Robbery: 2nd Degree and Conspire to Commit a Crime, one for Possess Stolen Vehicle/Vessel/Etc and one for Receive/Etc Known Stolen Property. According to court records, VanGelder appeared on May 20 for an AVOP – Failure to Report for Commitment. VanGelder pled No Contest to the charge of Possess Narcotic Controlled Substance on Nov. 9, 2017 and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, fined $719 and placed on Summary Probation for three years and was scheduled for a pre-revocation hearing on May 28 which was continued until June 28. VanGelder also appeared on May 20 for a misdemeanor arraignment on the charge of Receive/Etc Known Stolen Property and was scheduled for a pre-trial conference on May 28 which was continued until June 28; he also appeared on May 21 in an Arvin court room for an AVOP – New Filing and a Felony Arraignment on the above charges and is set to appear again on May 31 for a pre-preliminary and pre-revocation hearing and on June 3 for a preliminary hearing.

42-year old Misty Carden was arrested on May 20 for a warrant on Suspicion of Kidnapping, False Imprisonment by Violence, Attempted Robbery: 2nd Degree and Willful Cruelty to Child; she was also arrested on Suspicion of Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Controlled Substance Paraphernalia. Carden appeared on May 22 for a felony arraignment for the above charges and on May 31 for a pre-preliminary hearing and pre-trial conference where she pled No Contest to the charges of Willful Cruelty to Child and False Imprisonment with Violence/Etc and will be sentenced on June 28. Carden will also appear for a continued pre-trial conference on June 28 on the charges of Possess Controlled Substance and Possess Controlled Substance Paraphernalia and remains in custody in lieu of no bail.

According to court records, 50-year old Rod Haynes was scheduled to appear on May 21 for a AVOP – Failure to Report for Commitment on the charge of Hit and Run Resulting in Property Damage; Haynes pled No Contest to the charge on March 5 and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with one day time served, fined $570 and placed on summary probation for three years.

According to court records, 29-year old Kyle Hylla appeared on May 21 for sentencing on the charge of Grand Theft: Property in which he pled No Contest to on April 24. Hylla received a sentence of 180 days in jail with 80 days Credit for Time Served, fine $380 and placed on three years formal probation. Hylla has since been released from custody.

According to court records, 34-year old Heather Moore appeared on May 21 for sentencing on the charge of Burglary: 1st Degree in which she pled No Contest on March 20. Moore received a sentence of one year in jail with 121 days Credit for Time Served, fined $380 and placed on formal probation for three years; Moore is scheduled to be released on or before Sept. 19.

According to court records, 23-year old Taylor Sky Hernandez was scheduled to appear on May 23 for a failure to appear on the charge of Shoplifting; she was also scheduled to appear for a Return on B/W; Failure to Comply Deferred Entry of Judgment on the charge of Use/Under the Influence of Controlled Substance.

According to court records, 58-year old Paul VanGelder was scheduled to appear on May 23 for a Return on B/W: Failure to Appear-Pre-Trial Conference on the charges of Possess Controlled Substance, No Safety Belt on Driver and Drive While License Suspended/Revoked; he was also scheduled to appear for a Misdemeanor Arraignment on the charge of Possess Controlled Substance. VanGelder is scheduled to return on June 6 for a continued pre-Trial conference and on July 2 for a Jury Trial.

47-year old James Floyd was arrested on May 22 on Suspicion of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Addict in Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition; he was also arrested on May 25 on a warrant for Suspicion of Possess Controlled Substance for Sale and Possession of Ammunition. Floyd is scheduled to appear for a Felony Arraignment on May 29 in Mojave and on May 30 in Bakersfield. Floyd remains in custody in lieu of $70,000 bail.

According to court records, 56-year old Anthony “Tony” Scalici appeared on May 28 for a pre-trial conference on the charge of Obstruct/Resist/Delay Public/Peace Officer/EMT where the charge was dismissed.

31-year old Johnny Maclean was arrested on May 28 in San Bernardino County on Suspicion of Armed with a Firearm during a Drug Related Felony. Maclean was arrested again on May 30 on Suspicion of Possess Controlled Substance Paraphernalia, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, Receiving or Concealing Stolen Property, Receive Stolen Property – Motor Vehicle, Take Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent, Drive Without License and Robbery. Maclean is scheduled to appear in an Arvin courtroom on June 3 on the above charges and is in custody in lieu of $125,000 bail.

According to court records, 25-year old Brandon Angles appeared on May 29 for a pre-trial conference on the charges of Hit and Run Resulting in Property Damage, Drive Under the Influence of Alcohol and DUI Alcohol/0.08 Percent, which was continued until June 19.

According to court records, 40-year old Tawny Rodden appeared on May 31 for Sentencing on the charge of Conspire to Commit a Crime; Rodden pled No Contest to the charge on May 3 and received a sentence of 180 days in jail with 100 days Credit for Time Served, fined $380 and placed on formal probation for three years.
