BAKERSFIELD – A Palmdale man will spend the next 12 years with the State of California Department of Corrections after being sentenced on Aug. 21 in Bakersfield. Keith Zeldon Taylor, 33, pled No Contest to the charge of Gross Vehicular Manslaughter while Intoxicated and Drive Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Bodily Injury on July 17 when he appeared for a Status Conference and Pre-Preliminary Hearing.

As reported in July, Taylor was involved in a two-vehicle accident with a Hall Ambulance unit in Wonder Acres in April of 2018 that resulted in the death of his 4-year old son. Taylor, the EMT and Paramedic were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Taylor appeared for an arraignment on several felony charges in April of 2018 in Mojave then the case was relocated to Bakersfield where after several Pre-Preliminary Hearings and Status Conferences, Taylor pled to the above charges, Taylor was also fined $440.
