The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning in affect for the California City area from Sunday to Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to range from 105 - 110 degrees in the afternoons.

Residents should take precautions. Heat related illnesses are more common with elderly and children. Pet owners should have a safe place for pets during the extreme temperature period.
